Homemade foods are the BEST! Mitsu-Ken garlic chicken is one of my favorite to eat when we live in the islands. The skin is sooo crispy and full of flavor. And that Sweet Savory and Garlicky Sauce oh man so ONO. Definitely burst in your mouth! I made this to satisfy my cravings. This is the first time I make it, and once again it came out good. I never limit my ability to make good food for my family and friends. I use chicken thighs I deboned it myself cut in 3 pieces dredge in seasoning flour and deep fry till lightly golden brown and tossed it with the garlic sauce mixture.

Buko pandan salad is a dessert consisting of pandan flavored gelatin and shredded young coconut mixed with cream and sweetened milk. You can add vanilla Ice cream when served with your guest. I made this dessert when I catered Cat and Tom wedding and it was a hit. So simple yet delicious.
Salted Egg Prawns is easy to make and not to mention super delicious too. If you're a seafoods lover you have to try this. It has a unique taste and absolutely my new favorite thing to eat. I guarantee you, you'll lick your fingers because it's so good. Thank you to my cousin from Hongkong who taught me how to make this. Since Salted Egg Powder is not available at the Asian Store I used the egg yolks from salted eggs. Sauteed in butter, green onion, ground black pepper and fresh lemon juice. I did not add salt since the egg yolks is already salty.
Spent our Saturday with BEST of Good Friends. We got invited to our friends house for a backyard barbecue. Never a dull moment to be with them. Catching up and talking stories and have some drinks. Knowing that our friends are decided to go back to Philippines for good. We definitely miss you Cat and Tom. Wishing you all the BEST of Life friends.
I made this dinner for me and my husband because I promise to make him a healthy meal. So I came out with this Honey Mustard Baked Chicken. For the honey mustard dressing I use; 4 tablespoons stone ground mustard and 2 tablespoons honey and mixed them together. For the chicken breast I seasoned with garlic salt, onion powder, paprika and ground black pepper. Preheat over to 400 degrees. In a baking pan place the chicken and pour the mustard dressing onto the chicken cover with foil and bake it to 25 - 35 minutes depends on the size of the chicken. Use a thermometer to check if the chicken is fully cook should be 165 degrees. And toasted with sliced almond and sprinkle ontop of the chicken. This is the first time I made this and it came out good.
Seafood is one of my favorite food. I always experiment or play some recipe in my kitchen using all the ingredients I already have in my pantry and refrigerator. Ingredients is similar to the Leche Flan the only difference is, I added cream cheese, Milk, salt, egg whites and sugar. Baked 350 degrees in water bathed for 1 hour and 45 minutes. Once is done let it cool for 30 minutes then put in refrigerator for 3 hours our overnight to chill. Long process but I guaranteed this will satisfy your sweet craving. My family and friends love this.
I made this when I hosted a Bridal Shower for my friend. For the stuffing I used real crab you can subtitute to imitation crab (cheaper) or whatever you desire.
For the stuffing I season the crab with black ground pepper, salt, powder garlic, powder onion, paprika, lemon zest, mayonnaise, panko bread, and old bay seasoning and mixed all together. For the salmon filet I melted unsalted butter season with garlic salt and lemon pepper then I brush it into the salmon filet. For the vegetables I used summer squash and zucchini or you can use any vegetables you desire. I season the vegetables with olive oil, salt and black ground pepper. In a pan place the salmon filet then spread the crab mixture evenly into the salmon then place the vegetables around it. Slice some fresh lemon place ontop and baked to 400 degrees for 30 minutes. Once cook squeezed some fresh lemon juice onto the stuffed salmon and serve. Before I usually used my homemade dry rub to season the chicken and let it seat overnight to make sure all the ingredients will get into the meat. But this time I decided and follow my instinct to marinate overnight instead, with my homemade sweet & savory sauce . I should say this is definitely a winner. So tasty, moist and delicious. Smoked the chicken for 4 hours. The long is worthed and satisfying.
Kalua Pork is one of the locals favorite. Traditionally this recipe is cooked underground back in the old days. Modern days the slow cooker, crockpot or in the oven. I used pork butt seasoned with hawaiian salt and liquid smoke then wrapped it in banana leaves since Ti-leaf is not available where I live. Then slow cook for 8 hours. So simple recipe yet so tasty and delicious. Definitely BROKE the mouth.
